In Korea there is a famous celebrity who is a big issue right now. His name is Jang Geunseok. He is one of the first celebrity who gained popularity by Korean Wave, especially in Japan and China.
Today I want to talk about why he is such a big issue in Korea right now. Not because he is doing something great, but the other way around. He was caught trying tax evasion. According to a media he did not report how much he had earned during his entertainment activities outside of Korea.
The amount of tax evasion is enormous!!! The amount is estimated to be over 100 billion won. Which is about 920 million dollars. Currently the agency's saying that he's innocent and that it was only an accounting mistake. However, he dropped out of the popular tv program that was about to air soon, which is called "3 meals a day".
I don't know what the fans are saying, but a lot of people in Korea think that 100 billion won is just too much amount of money to be a simple mistake.
